Joy – the Abundant Life

Joy – the Abundant Life

“These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you,
and that your joy may be made full.”

— John 15:11

True joy is not produced outwardly; it flows from union with Christ.

Joy is the evidence of shared life. Joy is not a feeling to achieve — it is the settled life of Christ within the believer.

As Robert Rainey noted,
“Joy is the flag which flies over the castle of the heart
when the King is in residence.”

As we abide, the fruit of the Spirit — joy — gives steady evidence of abiding life. Peace, patience, and kindness now grow because the orchard is alive with His life, as we are pruned and shaped to reflect the fruit of the Vine.

Oh friend, I pray that your joy has been made full — complete and running over — through the assurance of salvation and the ongoing union between you and the Savior. If not, you can settle that today by inviting the Giver of Joy into your life. Then experience all that the abundant life has to offer, as promised by Christ Himself.
