Do you know God’s Word well enough to answer?
“Did God really say?”

It is not if the enemy will approach you, but when.
He did not begin in the garden with force.
He did not begin with open rebellion.
He did not begin by telling Eve to run as far from God as she could.
He began with a question.
A small question.
A subtle question.
A question designed to undermine her confidence in what God had clearly spoken.
“Did God really say?”
And everything that followed came from a distorted understanding of God’s Word.
The enemy questioned God’s command.
Then he questioned God’s character.
Then he offered another version of truth.
That is still how deception works.
It rarely starts with someone saying, “Walk away from God.”
It often starts with something quieter.
Are you sure that verse still applies?
Are you sure God meant it that way?
Are you sure obedience is necessary here?
Are you sure this is really sin?
Are you sure God is not withholding something good from you?
The strategy has not changed.
If the enemy can get us to question what God said,
he can begin to weaken our trust in who God is.
And when truth becomes blurry and we begin to question, compromise starts looking reasonable.
That’s why we can’t be careless with Scripture.
God’s Word is not just something we admire from a distance.
It is not meant to stay closed on a table,
quoted only when convenient,
or remembered only in bits and pieces.
We need to know it.
Hide it in our hearts.
Let it shape our convictions.
Let it correct our emotions.
Let it direct our steps.
Because the enemy still asks questions.
The question is—Would you recognize the lie?
Or would you hesitate just long enough to step outside the truth?
Know the Word.
Recognize the lie.
Stand in the truth where God has spoken.
